There are certain things a judge is supposed to do, like treat legitimate claims fairly. Sometimes treating claims fairly means making decisions based on the law that results in politically-unpopular outcomes. That is what seems difficult for the judiciary here. Anyone have any ideas how the mindset of the justices here came to be one of "government must win" instead of following the law?
